Short Cycle Programs are Now at Miller-Motte

Our short cycle programs were designed with industry-recognized credentials in mind to provide affordable, career-focused, and quick training. We offer short cycle programs in Healthcare, IT, and Skilled Trades. Short cycle program graduates are awarded a Certificate of Completion.

 

As of March 2023, our short cycle programs are only available through our Chattanooga campus.

Medical Assisting Basics

Quickly build essential healthcare skills required for medical assistants with our Medical Assisting Basics program. Develop your understanding of medical software, basic lab tasks, providing quality patient care, and more.

 

This hybrid healthcare program can be completed in:

Pharmacy Technician Basics

Develop your working knowledge of pharmacology, dosage calculations, and anatomy with our quick Pharmacy Technician Basics program. Study drug classifications, interactions, the relationship between medication and the disease process, and more.

Healthcare Billing & Coding

Gain access to and experience with online ICD-10 coding manuals with our Healthcare Billing & Coding program. This short cycle program helps you build a working knowledge of diagnostic and procedural coding, insurance plans, claim forms, and more.

Cyber Security Certification

Welding Basics

Study and practice using common welding techniques with our Welding Basics program. Gain hands-on experience using specialty tools, creating V-groove welds in various positions, and more. Shop and equipment safety are emphasized so students and graduates can maintain safe and efficient working conditions.

 

This hybrid short cycle program can be completed in:

Plumbing Basics

Quickly train to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures with our Plumbing Basics program. Gain a working knowledge of water systems, waste systems, distribution methods, and more. Shop and equipment safety are emphasized throughout this program so graduates can maintain safe and efficient working conditions.

 

This hybrid program can be completed in:

HVAC Basics

Train to service commercial and residential clients with our HVAC Basics program. You can also practice reclaiming and recycling refrigerants in accordance with the EPA and Clean Air Act. Shop and equipment safety are emphasized so graduates can maintain safe and efficient working conditions.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Train to troubleshoot, repair, install, maintain, and dismantle machinery in plants or manufacturing companies with our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic program. Shop and equipment safety are emphasized throughout this program so graduates can maintain safe and efficient working conditions.

 

This hybrid program can be completed in:

Electrical Technician Basics

Gain experience reading basic electrical drawings with our Electrical Technician Basics program. Develop your working knowledge of circuits, load calculations, current distribution and more. Shop and equipment safety are emphasized so students and graduates can maintain safe and efficient working conditions.

 

This hybrid program can be completed in:

CDL-A

Train to operate medium and heavy trucks with our Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A program. Practice accident prevention measures, performing pre-trip inspections, offset backing, alley docking, and more.

 

This in-person program can be completed in:

CDL-B

Train to operate large passenger and utility vehicles with our CDL-B program. Study size and weight laws, motor safety regulations, cargo handling, ways to reduce driving risks, filling out pre-trip inspection reports, and more.
